Forum members, I was an advocate of Neteller. So I am not bashing them in any way, I am just relaying an experience about them, that truly was a violation of law.
First, I have numerous bank accounts, but decided to open a SAVINGS account for offshore transactions, the reason I opened it is because I can receive and send funds. I did not want to open a checking account because a checking account can get drawn upon.
I gave Neteller 2 accounts, one a savings and one a checking...I did a instacash and they screwed up...They withdrew from my savings...
I asked them how they did this? and how did my bank pay it?
Here is the most disturbing answer...My bank said that Neteller used a random last digit number to access my savings account. My bank said all SAVINGS accounts at the bank can be accessed by adding the additional digit that the bank uses..So lets for arguments sake say my account was 123....Neteller used 1230, 1231,1232, until they nailed the last digit bank code. No one had permission to withdraw from my savings account, however neteller did..I really could care less which account they took the 300$ from, but it was most disturbing to find that my bank was easily accessed...If you were a cyber criminal, you could actually "wipe" out my bank...I brought this to my bank's attention. They were so embarressed and really had no answer...
I closed all my accounts with that bank and ripped their ass.
